Snowflakes fell from the ceiling in St. Joseph Hall as a flowery palm tree bloomed from a snow-filled swimming pool – it’s Christmas in July! With gingerbread, chocolate milk, and presents from Santa, our residents, staff, and Sisters joined in singing Christmas carols beautifully led by the talented “Sandy and the Snowflakes” on guitar! We were reminded in word and song that the message of Christmas, of the infant Savior and the ultimate gift of love, is a message for every day, whether it’s December or July! And what a celebration – with treat laden tables, a visit from Santa in his Hawaiian shirt and suspenders, a hilarious gift-passing game, and especially as joined together to sing our favorite Christmas carols. With jingle bells ringing and merry hearts singing we celebrated love, friendship, and gratitude for so many blessings all year long!
